Took my recently finished Gold Coast hoody to the beach while checking out the Swell sculpture festival in Currumbin.

As usual, staying with the theme. Sand coloured thread and zipper. Yellow and white vertical stripes for the inner to add to the beach vibe. Only needed 6x vintage tea towels for this one as the back towel was extra wide. So for once it didn’t need side strips. This was also the first jacket made with my new sewing machine (also a Janome DC2030).

And a bonus first, an added flip panel at the rear to reveal a special message (see pics)
